Pakistan cricket legend Younis Khan signs for Surrey
Beswicks Sports helped Surrey secure the signing of Pakistan legend Younis Khan for their current campaign.
The former Pakistan captain replaces Indian Piyush Chawla until mid-July after his work permit was quickly processed to enable him to play a sizeable part in Surrey’s season.
Cricket manager Chris Adams revealed his delight: He said: “I am confident that bringing a world class player such as Younis to Surrey will have a very positive effect on the side. As well as benefitting from the weight of runs we hope he will bring, we have a number of young batsmen who will doubtless benefit greatly from being able to train and play alongside him.”
Beswicks Sports representative Darren Long said: “Younis was keen to play in England again this summer and Surrey moved straight away when they knew he was available. Working with Surrey we managed to get his work permit processed quickly and he can hopefully make a big impact for them.”
