Shane Duff moves to Bradford City

Cheltenham skipper Shane Duff has secured a move to promotion favourites Bradford City.

The 28 year-old is looking forward to a new challenge after playing more than 200 games at Whaddon Road where he established himself as a fans favourite.

Shane is back fully fit after a lengthy lay-off due to an Achilles injury and sees Bradford as the perfect opportunity to push for silverware.

He said "This is a great opportunity for me to play for a big club and an excellent manager.  I feel this is the right move for me."

"I was taking stock of my career and decided this was best for me.  I felt a few years ago my career was going very well, but then I got an Achilles injury that plagued me and set me back".

Beswicks Sports agent, Darren Long who concluded the one-year deal with an option for a second year said, "Shane is one of the good guys in the game.  He has always been a delight to work with and everyone at Beswicks Sports is pleased he has a great opportunity at Bradford to realise his potential."
